Hi! Thanks for visiting my page! As you know, my name is Taryn and I eat, breathe sleep all things to do with the skin and how to care for it. I can honestly say that I TRULY love what I do! A wise person once said to not only follow your PASSION but to follow your OBSESSION and that is exactly what I sought out to do! After many years of attending college in Lafayette, I decided to move to Metairie in March of 2012 to enroll at John Jay Beauty College to follow my dreams of being an Esthetician. I have been licensed and working full time since April of 2013 and have been running my own business since July 2014. . I became passionate about skin care at the age of 23 (I'm now 36), specifically maintaining healthy, beautiful skin and stalling the aging process as best as I could. I must admit, in my late teens and early twenties, I was a tanning bed addict. I know, I know- worst thing you can ever do to your skin. After seeing the effects of premature aging, I decided enough was enough and started giving my skin the attention and nutrition it so desperately needed. I decided that I could share my passion with others by educating people on the do's and don'ts to maintain healthy skin from the inside out. I am constantly furthering my education on new research and classes pertaining to how the skin works, new ingredients, modalities, treatments and the like, as the skin care industry is always evolving. That's the beauty of it- never gets old, never gets boring! I can't stress how important it is to stay up to date on the research and development in order to be a great, knowledgeable, critical thinking Esthetician in this field. I can honestly say that I have the best job in the world- I feel so accomplished when someone looks in the mirror and they feel confident about the skin they are in. I believe in professional quality home care and professional maintenance with skin treatments such as facials, resurfacing treatments, LED photo therapy, etc to get your skin at it's absolute best. Aging is inevitable, but with the right guidance and proper care, you can maintain your youth for as long as possible and I am confident that I can get you there. I don't strictly focus on just anti-aging... I enjoy helping others with ALL of their skin issues but acne has quickly become my favorite skin condition to treat. I have had countless continuing education in this arena so I understand what causes it and how to treat it. It's definitely a JOURNEY and patience is key but I provide the tools for a success, as long as you do the work with me! Even though I provide corrective, clinical treatments, I absolutely love giving my clients a relaxing, rejuvenating and pampering experience. Aside from the results, being able to relax and feel refreshed is the best part...am I right?! I should also point out that every single treatment I do is completely customized to exactly what your skin needs at that specific time. I do not believe in "Cookie Cutter" facials and I do not follow a direct protocol. I allow your skin to guide me through the process.. This is where my passion comes through. I love to cocktail different ingredients and use different modalities with every visit to get your skin HEALTHY, BALANCED and BEAUTIFUL.
